Our willow weaving workshops take place across a range of beautiful venues in the South West, including Somerset, Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall. Some workshops are booked directly through the venues, while others can be reserved via our Workshops.

Looking for something more personal? Some of our venues are available for private hire. Alternatively, if you have your own venue or village hall, Jo can come to you. Private group bookings start from £85 per person (minimum 8 participants). To enquire, please email josadlerwillow@gmail.com.
Mello View, Axminster
​Set in the peaceful Somerset countryside, Mello View is Jo’s local teaching venue, a calm, characterful space surrounded by rolling valley views and working farmland. The large, rustic barn provides a beautiful setting for a day of weaving, complete with a log fire in cooler months and wide open doors in summer, allowing the landscape to become part of the workshop experience. We recommend bringing layers as it can take time to warm. Guests are welcomed with homemade cake and drinks, followed by a seasonal lunch prepared by owner and chef Ed using homegrown and locally sourced produce. You are welcome to wander the grounds, take in the views, and enjoy the quiet charm of the small holding during your visit. Musgrove Willows, Somerset Levels
Located on a working willow farm in the heart of the Somerset Levels, Musgrove Willows offers a truly authentic countryside experience. Surrounded by fields of homegrown willow, this family-run venue is both practical and beautiful, creating an inspiring setting to learn traditional basketry and sculpture techniques. Musgrove is where we source our willow, and the team are always generous with their knowledge, from how willow is grown and harvested to soaking, preparing, and caring for it. Workshops take place in a large studio space with a log burner. Please bring layers, as the burner is not always lit and the space can take time to warm. We pause for a relaxed lunch break, with hot drinks, homemade soup, and cake provided. Max group size: 12.

Heritage Courtyard
Gallery and Studios, Wells
Located in the heart of Wells, Heritage Courtyard Gallery and Studios is a contemporary art gallery and creative hub for artists, makers, and designers. This inspiring space offers a supportive and stimulating environment for creative practice, while welcoming the wider community to engage with contemporary art, learn new skills, and feel inspired. Workshops take place on the first floor, up a flight of stairs, within the main studio space among resident artists’ studios, you may occasionally see artists passing through as the creative space gently hums around you. Please bring layers, as temperatures in the studio can fluctuate throughout the day. No lunch is provided at this venue, however light refreshments are available. The gallery is located in the centre of Wells, with a wide range of cafés, bakeries, and lunch spots nearby. You are also very welcome to bring your own food. Max group size: 8

The Barn Café, Poole
Set within a charming courtyard hub at Bere Farm in Dorset, The Barn Café workshop space is a private barn surrounded by independent shops, a garden centre, a farm shop, and the much-loved Barn Café. This relaxed and welcoming setting offers a calm, creative environment while still being close to good food and small local businesses. Some workshops at this venue include a buffet lunch, while others allow you to either bring your own food or pre-order lunch from the café (recommended). Please bring layers, as temperatures in the barn can fluctuate throughout the day. Max group size: 12

Symondsbury Estate, Bridport
Set beneath Colmers Hill and close to the Jurassic Coast, Symondsbury Estate is a historic and atmospheric setting for a day of weaving. The beautiful Tithe Barn, with its high-beamed ceilings and rustic character, creates an inspiring space to slow down, focus, and enjoy the creative process, surrounded by peaceful Dorset countryside. Sculpture workshops are held in the Tithe Barn, while basket workshops are usually taught in the more intimate and characterful setting of the Old Pottery. Please bring layers, as temperatures in both spaces can fluctuate throughout the day. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a slice of homemade cake and your choice of tea or coffee. There is a relaxed lunch break where you’ll enjoy a two-course meal prepared by Symondsbury Kitchen using local, seasonal produce. You are welcome to explore the beautiful estate grounds, browse the independent shops, or simply relax and chat with fellow weavers. Max group size: 12 (sculpture workshops) / 8 (basket workshops)

Island Garden Nursery and Café
Set on the outskirts of Weymouth along the banks of the River Wey, Island Garden Nursery is a plant lover’s paradise, a peaceful, green setting surrounded by trees, flowers, and growing life. This welcoming garden centre and café offers a calm and inspiring place to spend a day weaving, immersed in nature. Guests are welcomed with a coffee and croissant on arrival, followed by a light lunch during the workshop. Workshops are held in a large polytunnel during autumn and winter, and in a marquee during the summer months, always surrounded by plants and greenery. The polytunnel is heated with propane heaters; please bring plenty of layers as temperatures can fluctuate. Max group size: 12

Studi0ne, Bridport
Located in Bridport’s creative quarter, Studi0ne is a small, welcoming studio space with a modern feel and supportive atmosphere for learners of all levels. Surrounded by independent shops, galleries, and cafés, it’s perfectly placed for those who wish to explore Bridport’s vibrant food and arts scene before or after their workshop. Studi0ne is home to an established Patchwork & Quilting specialist and offers a creative space for a wide range of crafts. It is also available for sewing machine hot-desking, making it a lively and inspiring environment to learn, create, and connect with like-minded people. No lunch is provided at this venue, however light refreshments are available. Studi0ne is located in the centre of Bridport, with a wide variety of cafés, bakeries, and lunch spots nearby. You are also very welcome to bring your own food. Please bring layers, as temperatures can fluctuate in the studio. Max group size: 8
