CERAMICS

For Nix, handmade ceramics offer the wonderful opportunity to create truly individual and distinct objects. From the subtle marks and shapes formed by hand to organic, earthy glaze finishes inspired by traditional wood-firing techniques, her work celebrates both process and material.​

Each piece reflects the quiet beauty of craftsmanship and the natural unpredictability of clay and fire.

BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION

Sally Pinhey is one of Britain’s foremost botanical illustrators. Her work is renowned for its liveliness, charm and exquisite detail, balanced with exceptional botanical accuracy.​

Holding numerous RHS Medals and having illustrated five specialist books, Sally’s artwork beautifully bridges science and artistry, celebrating the intricate elegance of the natural world.​

ABSTRACT ART

Sue is a mixed-media artist specialising in vibrant colour, focusing on shapes and forms to create uplifting abstract artwork.​

Her layered compositions and confident palette invite the viewer to interpret and connect, bringing energy and movement to each piece within the exhibition.

 

MIXED MEDIA ART

Sarah is a versatile Dorset-based artist with a wide portfolio of contemporary mixed-media landscapes and botanical studies.

Specialising primarily in acrylic, she also embraces a rich range of multimedia techniques, working with ink, wax, pastel, charcoal and illustrative pens. On a larger scale, spray paints are often integrated to build depth and atmosphere, resulting in expressive works that capture movement, texture and light.

HANDMADE JEWELLERY

Elly takes her inspiration from the Dorset coast and countryside, creating handcrafted pieces in sterling silver and solid yellow gold. Her collections include intricate lost wax pieces, as well as sand-casting, water-casting and reticulation techniques that embrace organic texture and natural form.

Alongside her sculptural designs, Elly also creates hand-stamped personalised jewellery, each piece thoughtfully made and entirely unique.

CONTEMPORARY SEASCAPES

Magda Malak creates oil paintings of contemporary atmospheric seascapes inspired by the UK landscape.​

From calm waters to dramatic waves, her work captures the ever-changing mood of the coastline. Each painting is crafted to feel timeless, artwork designed to last a lifetime.

WILLOW SCULPTURES

Jo Sadler is a Somerset-based willow artist known for her expressive, handcrafted sculptures inspired by the natural world.

Working primarily with locally grown willow, Jo creates both sculptural and functional pieces that celebrate movement, texture and form. From animal sculptures to woven structures and baskets, her work reflects a deep connection to landscape and traditional craft.

Alongside her sculpture, Jo also runs hands-on workshops throughout the South West, sharing her passion for willow weaving and encouraging others to experience the joy of making.

THE VENUE

The award-winning Langham Wine Estate is nestled in the Dorset countryside, offering vineyard tours, wine tasting, and so much more.

With its sweeping views and welcoming atmosphere, Langham provides the perfect backdrop for this exhibition, making it an ideal destination for a relaxed and inspiring day out.

From Saturday 23 May to Sunday 7 June, Langham Wine Estate will host this special exhibition as part of Dorset Art Weeks.​ With a café on site, you’ll have everything you need for a wonderful day out, art, countryside and exceptional local wine all in one place.

Directions

From Puddletown, take the A354 toward Blandford for 1.7 miles and turn left (signed – Langham Estate). The venue is 0.5 miles on the right.

Parking is available onsite, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
