Service Description

Join willow artist Jo Sadler for a Deer workshop at Heritage Courtyard Gallery and Studios in the heart of Wells. Guided step by step, you’ll create your very own willow deer sculpture, using Somerset willow. This hands-on workshop includes all materials, including a supportive metal frame within your sculpture. Set in a light-filled studio space surrounded by creative energy, this workshop is a chance to slow down, connect with natural materials, and leave with a striking sculpture to treasure. Refreshments will be available throughout the day, and we’ll pause around 1 pm for a one-hour lunch break. You are welcome to bring your own food or explore the many cafés, pubs, and restaurants just a short walk away in Wells. Schedule • Arrival: From 9:00 am • Workshop Start: 9:15 am. • Lunch Break: A 1 hour pause to enjoy lunch or explore around the town • Workshop End: Approximately 4:30 pm. Important Notes • No food is included • This course is not suitable for those under 16 years of age. • Please be aware that willow bark can cause serious allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to aspirin or those taking certain medications (e.g., blood thinners, beta-blockers, or acetaminophen/ Tylenol).


Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as fair as possible while ensuring our workshops remain sustainable. Please read the following cancellation policy before booking: Cancellations by You (the Participant) More than 31 days before the workshop date: You may cancel and receive a full refund or transfer* your booking to another available workshop date via Jo Sadler Willow’s website. Between 15 and 31 days before the workshop date: A 50% refund will be issued, or you may transfer* your booking to another available workshop via Jo Sadler Willow’s website. Please note that once transferred, your booking will no longer be eligible for a refund or further transfers but you may send someone in your place if you cannot attend. Less than 15 days before the workshop date: No refund or transfer will be available, as materials and arrangements will already have been prepared. However, you may send someone in your place. Please notify us in advance. Gift Cards Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Once expired, they cannot be reissued, refunded, or used. The above refund policy applies if the attendee cancels, cannot attend, or wishes to change the date of their booking made with a gift card. * Transfers are only valid across other courses that can be booked via Jo Sadler Willow and do not include other venues where she teaches. Transfers will waive the right to a refund and further transfers. Cancellations by Jo Sadler Willow In the unlikely event that Jo needs to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, extreme weather, or low bookings), participants will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future workshop date. We will notify participants as soon as possible if a cancellation is necessary. No-Shows If you do not attend the workshop without prior notice, no refund or transfer will be available. Transfers & Gifted Places If you cannot attend, you may gift your place to a friend or family member. Please inform us in advance of their details. By booking a workshop, you agree to these terms.
